Enjoy Local Fall Activities Throughout October!

I don't know about you, but I love fall. The uncomfortable heat of summer is gone, but the uncomfortable cold of winter hasn't yet arrived. Instead, everyone gets to enjoy some truly delightful sweater weather! Appropriately, there are great, outdoor fall activities for the whole family happening all throughout the Mahoning Valley during the month of October. Keep reading to learn about three such events happening in Boardman, Canfield, and Poland!

The first series of fall festivities to focus on are the Fall Festival Celebration Weekends happening every Saturday and Sunday at White House Fruit Farm! Bring the kids to one of the area's favorite businesses where they can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, a play area, several delicious food vendors, flowers from Lutz Greenhouse, and the Pumpkin Pavilion & Gift Barn. Plus, the family can have a professional portrait from FJPortraits taken by the lake! Click here for details about admission prices and times.

Looking for something a little less out of the way? If you're in Boardman for some shopping or food over the next two weekends, then you should check out the Haunted Wagon Rides at Boardman Park! The rides will be running on October 19-20 & 26-27 starting at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Plus, you can grab some concessions while the kids enjoy the Bounce-Arounds and Climbing Wall! For details, visit the Boardman Park website.

Finally, head over to Molnar Farms in Poland for their fun-filled Fall Weekends every Saturday and Sunday in October! Take a hayride tour around the farm and explore the pumpkin patch and corn maze! Admission is just $5 per person. Last call for admission and hayride departure is at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Learn more at their website.
