Discover Memories of Christmas Past at the Arms Family Museum

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is once again inviting everyone to experience the amazing "Memories of Christmas Past" holiday spectacular at The Arms Family Museum! Now in its 11th year, this annual event sees the 1905 arts & crafts mansion of Olive and Wilford Arms decorated with rare, one-of-a-kind, vintage decorations, including ornaments, lighting, trees, and toys. Countless Christmas pieces from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s collection and from private collectors are on display for guests to enjoy!

This year's exhibit opened on November 17 and runs through Sunday, January 6, 2019, so you have plenty of time to make your way down to the museum! The museum is open Tuesday-Sunday (closed on Mondays) from noon to 4 p.m. (7 p.m. on Thursdays). Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and college students, $7 for children (3-18), and free for kids under 3.

Looking for less history and more shopping? Then you won't want to miss the Christmas Marketplace at The Tyler History Center! For the third year in a row, this event will be bringing together local vendors from across the area to sell their handmade items, artisan crafts, and holiday treats. The market will take place on Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 2 from noon to 4 p.m.

The Arms Family Museum is located at 648 Wick Avenue in Youngstown and The Tyler History Center is located at 325 West Federal in Youngstown. You can learn more about these great holiday events by heading over to the Mahoning Valley Historical Society's website and/or Facebook page.
